On a recent trip to Ravi's, I realised that I didn't actually have any pictures or a proper post dedicated to one of my favourite 'go to' places for no nonsense good food and being the true foodie that I am, I had to rectify that immediately. There are certain places that are as synonymous with Dubai as much as the Sand, Sun and Sea. Ravi's in Satwa is just one of these places! It has been around since the days Shiekh Zayed was a mere dirt road and areas such a the Marina was a distant dream. Located just off the big roundabout in Satwa, it 's frequented by everyone from the working class clocking at at the end of their shift to the well off expat's.. all there for some authentic un-adulterated Pakistani food...

Dubai Cola at Gulfood 2011
A company has introduced Dubai Cola to the world at Gulfood 2011. A carbonated drink made from dates with a hint of honey, could soon be hitting our shelves. Ironically its not actually made anywhere in the UAE but rather originates in the country that now brings us Redbull, Austria.
The manufacturers are looking for a local distributor for the product which went into production 6 months ago. They claim to have had inquiries from all over the world... not sure about that one.
I haven't spoken to anyone who has tried it yet but one things for sure, they need a new catch phrase! Also, no camel's in the super high quality advert? That's just sloppy.
If you've tried it and don't actually work for Dubai Cola, do let me know what you thought.
